SARTQ presents its 3rd Annual silk screen print party!

[ABOUT SARTQ]  Formed in late 2008, the circle of artists includes Joseph Arnegger, Ariana Franco, Brian Haverlock, Tim Jaeger, Amy W Miller, Daniel Miller, Jen Nugent, Daniel Perales, Steve Strenk, Jeff Schwartz, Nathan Skiles, Sabrina Small and Tom Stephens. S/ART/Q produces roaming/temporary exhibitions, creates educational opportunities in the community while exposing the public to how artists function in society and ultimately enhances the arts culture in Sarasota.

Be the first to tag yourself (on Facebook) on the design of your choice and get that design screened for free on any item you bring to the Print Party!

At 1 PM on Thursday, September 9, 2010, we will upload an image containing the designs of all the participating artists. Be the first to use Facebook’s Tag This Photo function to tag the design of your choice and win.

Limit one tag per person. in case of timing disputes, the order of the facebook notifications will decide. All winners must collect their free screen at the Print Party! on Saturday, September 11, 2010.

Winners will be notified via Facebook.

SARTQ presents the second print party located at 1421 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota, Florida 34236

The event will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 5:00pm – 10:00pm

Bring $5 per print and something to print on! Articles of clothing, sheets, bags, almost anything can get printed by one of the SARTQ Artists with the images of your choice all custom made by the artists themselves.

This was the introduction of s/ART/q to the Sarasota community. Each artist created a silk screen which was offered at this party. Patrons paid $5 to have the print (or prints) of their choice screened onto whatever they decided to bring with them. The money raised goes to help fund future events and exhibits.
