Diana de Avila

Diana de Avila is an autodidact polymath and artist whose work bridges the realms of science, mathematics, and art, creating a dialogue between the natural and the conceptual. Her artistic journey began in 2017, sparked by an extraordinary transformation—she developed acquired savant syndrome and synesthesia following challenges with multiple sclerosis and a traumatic brain injury. These rare neurological phenomena opened a new way of seeing and interpreting the world, influencing her deeply intuitive and intricate creations.

De Avila’s practice draws from the complexities of fractal geometry, quantum physics, and chaos theory, integrating these elements with a reverence for divine order and interconnectedness. Each piece emerges from a blend of self-taught techniques and her natural affinity for patterns, light, and form. Working in the digital medium, she has produced over 2,000 works that range from fractal-based abstractions to immersive augmented reality experiences.

A participant in the Techspressionism movement, De Avila embraces technology as a core element of her practice, using it not only as a tool but as a partner in pushing the boundaries of what art can achieve. Her work appears in public collections and installations, including Reagan National Airport and large-scale corporate murals, transforming spaces into immersive explorations of form, color, and emotion.

Through her art, De Avila invites viewers to step into a world of infinite possibility—where science and art intertwine, offering a glimpse into the profound beauty of complexity.
