Emmie Wells is a ceramics artist based out of her hometown Sarasota, FL. In 2018, Emmie earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Since then, her work has revolved around ceramics and illustrative 2D art. Her work showcases a variety of techniques, particularly mishima and sgraffito. Emmie is a member of Sarasota’s popular SartQ collective, an organization of accomplished local artists dedicated to collaborating with the community and managing local exhibitions. Emmie’s work has been featured in several shows in the Sarasota/Tampa/St. Petersburg area, such as the Ringling Underground in 2018 and Coastal Creative’s Weird Florida in 2021.
